Proposed by Mr. Irving that in future the

annual examination of the College for prizes and promotions shall be held by the Head Master at Christmas; and that the examination by examiners appointed by the Governing Body shall be held either soon before or soon after the Midsummer holidays in their discretion; and that it shall be conducted partly by examination and partly by inspec- tion, as the examiners may think best; and that it shall include the

whole school.
